本公司成立于2004年，致力于故事片电影，纪录片电影，数码流媒体产品的策划，编剧，导演和摄制，是一家设立在上海的电影 制作公司。
2005年，本公司策划编剧的故事片《米尼》拍摄完成，影片融会了王安忆小说的积淀，由李心洁，刘烨主演；由本公司，中国电 影集团公司中影动画产业有限公司，以及上海文广传媒集团影视中心，张江文化创意产业有限公司出品的成长故事片电影《十三岁 女孩》，参赛60届嘎纳影展青少年竞赛单元，德国卢卡斯国际电影节，印度金象国际儿童电影节等，并在2007年北京大学生 电影节和乌拉圭青年电影节上获奖。2011年出品并发行了故事片《星星的孩子》，获得上海市重大题材新人新作奖，中美电影节“杰出 新晋导演奖”，19届大学生电影节最佳女主角和人文关怀特别奖，国家广电局精品电影奖，上海市重大题材新人新作奖。2019年完 成了人物传记艺术影片《上海的女儿》，根据周采芹的同名畅销自传改编, 本片入围北京电影节，丝路电影节，上海电影节，并被 入选72届戛纳电影节“跃动她影”单元，并得到中国电影权威刊物和许多百万加自媒体的好评，称影片是“继承‘学院派’风格的，有 强烈人文品格的影片”。
本公司制作了一系列长篇文艺类纪录片， 《夜上海》， 《我属蛇》，《上海恰恰》被称为上海三部曲，在凤凰卫视，中央电视台， 上海电视台播出，并获得2003年联合国教科文组织UNESCO优秀纪录片论坛奖。本公司还与中央电视台，上海文广纪实频道有 过多方面的合作,并与上海世博局宣传部，上海文广集团纪实频道联合摄制完成了世博题材大型高清纪录片《上海2010-江南造船厂 》于东方卫视2010年5月即世博开幕夜播出。
目前，我们开发的电影项目，有作为剧情，悬疑，软科幻，人物传记等类型，《中国式并购》，《采芹》，《日记朗读会》，《禁 忌实验》正在与万达，腾讯影视的合作中。纪录片项目有《卡丹先生的天使们》，《内容为王，时尚为后》，《一个科考队员的日 记》等，正与腾讯，优酷合作中。
Seedling Film is a seasoned feature and documentary film production company bases in Shanghai, China.
Seedling Film’s first feature “Mi Ni” (2005) starring Angelica Lee and Liu Ye was theatrically released nationwide in China. “A Girl Thirteen” (2007) was entered the 60th Cannes Film Festival for the Junior Competition and won Best Digital Film at the 2007 Beijing Youth Film Festival. “Son of the Stars” (2011) had won the Best Upcoming Director “Gold Angel Award” at Chinese American Film Festival won the Best Actress Award at 19th. Beijing Youth Film Festival, won Best Director’s Award by Shanghai Government, and won Outstanding Film Award by Film and Broadcast Bureau of China. The fea ture-length docudrama “Daughter of Shanghai”（2019）staring Tsai Chin, the Asian-American actress，was theatrically release in Mainland China, and was selected to competition in Beijing Film Festival, the Silk Road Film Festival, Shanghai Film Festival. It was invited to the 72th. Cannes Intl. Film Festival for the 5th. Edition of “Women in Motion”.
We produced feature-length documentary films “The Snake Boy”, “Shanghai Dreams”, “Lulu and Me”– have been critically acclaimed at various international film festivals and have been broadcasted by TV channels throughout Asia. “Shanghai Expo 2010-JiangNan Shipyard” broadcasted by Dragon TV on the opening night of 2010 World Expo. Our work experience includes coproducing documentaries with PBS, NGC Asia etc.
In addition, we are entering the new area of producing digital entertainment, such as short films, smart phone applications etc. In 2015, the multi-media platform of “Temperature Film” launched. We had provided 54 tittles of the Short film programs, starring Jiang Wenli, Han Xue, Guo Xiaodong on various screens such as Internet, WeChat and Digital TV. More feature titles covers Drama, Suspense, Sci-fi, Biography genre, such as “Wild Car Man” “Tsai Chin”, “Diary Party”, “Forbidden Experiments” are in cooperation with Wanda and other major studios in China and Hollywood. More documentary titles, “Mr. Cardin’s Angels”, “Content is the King, Fashion is the Queen”, are in deals with Tencent, and YouKu.
